Winter portrait of the wonderful Silver Maple in my former backyard. This was a big, fat trunked, old, burly, gnarly, beautiful tree full of character. When we moved into our former home, we hired someone to prune her right away. The heavy limbs made this grand old lady vulnerable to storm damage. She responded well to the pruning and graced our back yard for nearly 20 years more. We spent many happy times watching the families of squirrels, and even raccoons, who made their homes in her branches.

I am a nature loving artist. fascinated by animals, plant life and landscapes. I enjoy working in many mediums, including oil, acrylic, watercolor, soft pastel and pencil.
